About Max
I would like to thank the Humane Society and all of there dedicated workers and foster parents. If it wasn’t for Max's foster Dad Verel he would not be with us today. Max was very ill when he was brought to the Humane Society. He suffered from severe kennel cough and Guardia. Max was a strong candidate to be euthanized, it was fortunate that his foster Dad would not give up on him. Verel, with the help of his friend Jeanette took Max home and nursed him back to health.
My Mom and I unexpectedly stopped by the humane society on Jan. 26,2008. Max was lying on a bench next to Verel. Verel took one look at me and picked me out for Max. We took Max home Jan.26th 2008 and offically adopted Max from the Humane society February 2, 2008. Life is enriched with those we love whether they have two legs three legs or four.
When the Sun rises Max heads for our bed. He likes to cuddle first thing in the morning and start the day with lots of love. To earn his keep Max fetches the paper, rain or shine and guards the house from flying leaves and magpies.
On his walks down to the park he runs circles on his ajustalead getting in double the milege. Max also likes to plunge into the Jordan River chacing after ducks that he could never catch but he enjoys watching them fly over head.
Max's favorite foods include grapefruit, apples, banannas, steak, and freshly baked tuna treats. When I make his tunna treats he can't wait to lick the bowl and swings his head around like a horse. When the treats go in the oven he trouts between me and the treats making sure I dont forget them.
Max has crazy fits once in a while and launches at me like a flying squirrel. We're not sure why this happens but you know your in trouble when he gets that look of despiration on his face.
At the end of the day Max likes to relax to the point of no responce, you can passed him around and he won't move a muscle, you just need to be careful not to drop him because he will not land on his feet.
All and all Max is a very good boy even if he likes to get on the kitchen table and bark at me when I'm on the phone. We love our max.
